B. Introduction to the Meeting
The State Administration of Radio and Television issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of Smart Radio and Television" in November 2018 and subsequently held a field conference on "Smart Radio and Television" construction in Guizhou. Meanwhile, the establishment of county-level integrated media centers across China is now in full swing. To fully leverage the resource advantages of traditional media and cable TV networks, we are actively implementing the "Smart Radio and Television" strategy by vigorously expanding into emerging broadcasting platforms such as network-based radio and television, internet TV (OTTTV), and IP TV. This initiative aims to foster the seamless integration and convergence of traditional media with cutting-edge audiovisual new media. In this spirit, we are pleased to announce that the *8th National Internet and Audiovisual Broadcasting Development Symposium (NWC2019)*, along with the 27th China Digital Radio and Television & Network Development Annual Conference (CCNS2019), will be held from April 24 to 26, 2019, in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province—a historic and culturally renowned city known for its quintessential Jiangnan water-town charm and one of the birthplaces of the Communist Party of China. The overarching theme of the event will be "Smart Radio and Television: Driving Integrated Development."
The "National Workshop on Internet and Audiovisual Broadcasting Development (NWC)" is one of the industry's most significant and authoritative large-scale seminars, officially approved and launched in 2001 by the State Administration of Radio and Television. Senior officials from the Administration have specifically instructed: "Please guide the Media Department and the Science & Technology Department to ensure this important workshop is conducted successfully." The "China Conference on Digital Radio, Television, and Network Development (CCNS)" was first successfully held in Beijing in 1993 and has since flourished in Zhuhai, evolving into the industry’s earliest, most renowned, and highly influential event dedicated to digital broadcasting, television, and broadband networking technologies. We warmly invite professionals—such as technical staff, content creators, broadcasters, and management personnel—from the radio and television sector (including broadcasting bureaus at all levels, broadcasting stations, network-based TV platforms, cable network companies, transmission centers, monitoring stations, satellite facilities, and information centers), as well as experts from the telecommunications industry, newspaper publishers, commercial websites, broadband network operators, content providers, and equipment suppliers—to actively submit papers and register for this prestigious conference!
