The G20 Summit is a premier international forum that brings together the world’s major economies to discuss global economic governance, sustainable development, and international cooperation. The 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit, held on September 4–5 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, marked China’s first time hosting a G20 Leaders’ Summit and was only the second time the summit took place in Asia, following South Korea’s 2010 Seoul Summit.

By successfully convening the summit, China provides the international community with a unique platform to gain deeper insights into its economic progress and global engagement.
