Running Man! The 2015 Panjin Red Beach International Marathon Officially Kicks Off
The 2015 Panjin Red Beach International Marathon has officially begun, marking a historic milestone as Panjin City hosts its first-ever international-level sporting event. Jointly organized by the Chinese Athletics Association, the Liaoning Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Panjin Municipal People’s Government, the inaugural marathon took place on September 12, 2015, along the world-renowned Red Beach National Scenic Corridor, drawing wide attention and enthusiastic participation from around the globe.

To ensure seamless live broadcast transmission throughout the event, Beijing WINDEO dispatched its technical team well in advance to the race venues, carefully preparing each aspect of the optical transmission system. Partnering with Liaoning Television and China Central Television (CCTV), a professional broadcast team of nearly 200 members was assembled to manage signal production and on-site broadcasting. CCTV-5 Sports Channel provided comprehensive live coverage, delivering every moment of the marathon to audiences nationwide.
This year’s “Red Beach Marathon” attracted 95 elite athletes from 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Korea, Mongolia, India, and Kazakhstan. Joining them were 3,000 domestic runners representing 26 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Hong Kong SAR, as well as 7,000 local participants from Panjin City — creating a truly international and community-driven event.
