WINDEO Showcases Cutting-Edge SDI Over Fiber Solutions at the 33rd Western Annual Conference & New Technology Application Forum

WINDEO General Manager Wang Chen Shares Products and Case Studies
Changji, Xinjiang – July 17, 2024 — The 33rd Western Annual Conference & New Technology Application Forum of the Program Production & Transmission Professional Committee under the China Film and Television Technology Society successfully kicked off in Changji City, Xinjiang. As a leading domestic brand specializing in optical transmission solutions for broadcasting and television, Beijing WINDEO Technology Co., Ltd. was proudly invited to participate in this prestigious industry event.
At the forum, WINDEO General Manager Wang Chen delivered a keynote presentation titled “Multi-Service Integrated Optical Transmission System for Production Environments,” sharing the company’s latest innovations and real-world application cases that demonstrate WINDEO’s deep expertise in program production and signal transmission.
01

MSTP-3: High-Density Multi-Service Optical Transmission Platform
A highlight of the event was the MSTP-3, WINDEO’s high-density, centralized transmission system designed for integrated multi-service signal transport. Widely recognized by industry professionals, MSTP-3 can operate as a dual-unit cascade system or as an IP/baseband hybrid backup solution. It also supports comprehensive signal transmission between studios and on-site EFP (Electronic Field Production) setups.
Notably, the MSTP-3 features dual-fiber routing with automatic backup, further enhancing transmission stability and system reliability — key advantages for mission-critical broadcast environments.

MSTP-2: Flexible 4K/8K Distributed Transmission
Complementing the MSTP-3, the MSTP-2 system excels in distributed multi-camera production scenarios, especially for 4K/8K ultra-high-definition content. Equipped with ten configurable 12G-SDI ports, MSTP-2 enables any port to connect to its internal 4-transmit/1-receive optical bus for highly efficient fiber transmission to CCUs.
Its cascadable architecture supports up to eight device groups via single-mode fiber, offering a robust 40-channel capacity for 4K/12G-SDI and multi-service signals. This makes MSTP-2 ideal for rapidly deploying multi-camera field operations, lightweight transmission networks, and other versatile broadcast applications.
03

MSTP-2M: Portable PTZ Integrated Transmission Solution
WINDEO also introduced the MSTP-2M, a compact and portable transmission system designed for mobile and real-time production scenarios. Combining advanced PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera control with high-performance optical transmission technology, MSTP-2M enables seamless, high-quality, and low-latency video delivery — even in dynamic or challenging environments. This solution dramatically improves the flexibility and efficiency of on-site production workflows.

MCB Series: Intelligent Peripheral Expansion
In addition to its MSTP lineup, WINDEO showcased the MCB series of peripheral modules. Each MCB unit can function independently or be integrated into the CPDP-2 centralized power distribution chassis, which supports up to ten modules per rack. The MCB series is designed to cover a broad spectrum of applications — from signal processing, distribution, and conversion to IP gateway, embedded server, and AI-driven intelligent processing — meeting the industry’s growing demand for rapid deployment and modular scalability.

WINDEO congratulates the Program Production & Transmission Professional Committee of the China Film and Television Technology Society on the successful conclusion of its 33rd Annual Conference and Forum. As the broadcasting industry continues to evolve, Beijing WINDEO remains committed to innovation, collaboration, and excellence — driving forward a new era of “new technology, innovative production and broadcasting, fresh vitality, and a rejuvenated industry landscape.”
